On September 2, 2017, Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy celebrated the 26th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Artsakh with great enthusiasm and brilliance. The students, with the guidance of the teaching staff, presented a glorious event, during which they sang national songs, danced and recited poetry dedicated to the Event.
On December 10, 1991, only a few days before the USSR fell apart, a referendum was held in Artsakh, where the overwhelming majority (99, 89%) of the population voted in favor of independence from Azerbaijan. Following the referendum, a parliament was elected, which formed the first government.
The event was concluded by a speech and a concluding prayer by Father Artsrun.
