About Us

Welcome to the portal of Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy, Kolkata.

Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy is a residential school established in 1821 primarily to educate children of Armenian descent.

It was founded by the dedicated endeavors of the Calcutta Armenian Community of Julfa, Iran. The vision, foresight and benevolent spirit of our founders, Mr Astvatsatur Muradkhanian and Mr. Manatsakan Vardanian, are present even today.
Armenian College strives to prepare students to become productive citizens with sound character, self-reliance and an appreciation for the Armenian language, heritage, culture and traditional Christian values.
Over the years, numerous students from Asia, Armenia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait and India have passed through the gates of the institution and have gone on to achieve great things in life.

Today the school is under the auspices of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Armenia.
